Originally released in the 1980s by Artic Computing, Inca Curse was the second in a long and successful line of journey mini games for the 8-bit computers of the day. Most fanatics refer to the mini game as “Journey B”, with the follow-up mini games known by their subsequent letters. These text-based adventures are generally considered to be the first successful mini games of the kind on the then-new range of home microcomputers and thus rightly earn a put in any “Hall of Fame” list; their popularity kickstarted a whole fresh genre of mini game that is still enjoyed to this day. Yet no matter how advanced the journey mini games of today may seem, their evolution can be traced directly back to Artic’s ground-breaking series. This lovingly remastered ver published by Pixel Mini games is faithful to the original, offering retro fanatics and casual gamers alike a possibility to experience the same thrill as the first generation of users did back in the day. However, rather than typing in the commands manually, a brand-new interface is provided for the player, allowing full enjoyment of the thrilling story without the frustration of a mis-typed command. ******** According to the original instructions: Adventures are mini games in which you discover and explore a strange fresh globe without leaving the comfort of your chair. The computer will act as your puppet, eyes and another senses. In each place you may search objects which you can manipulate and use in further places to assist you progress on your journey. In Inca Curse you search yourself in a South American jungle, near an as-yet undisturbed Inca Temple. Inside the temple you will search lots of treasure; your aim is still to receive out alive with as much treasure as you can carry… but beware - do not allow greed be your downfall! Your journey is complete when you have returned to the jungle clearing with your treasure. The highest score to date for treasure is 3200 points. GOOD LUCK!!!
