The apk is an instance of the Exposure Notifications Express platform developed by Apple and Google. Using Alaska COVID ENX is voluntary and gratis of charge. The more people who install and use it, the more effective it will be. Alaska COVID ENX is a voluntary service accessible on both iPhone and Android device phones that helps slow the spread of COVID-19. If you have enabled Exposure Notifications on your smartphone, whenever you are within close proximity (approximately within 6 feet for 15 mins based on Bluetooth signal strength), your phones will exchange safe, anonymous, randomly-generated tokens. If you try positive for COVID-19, you can share these anonymous tokens, which will send a notification to anyone with whom you have exchanged tokens with recently, notifying them of possible exposure. The system was built with your privacy and safety in mind. The system is anonymous and is opt-in. No places are tracked. It doesn’t know your name and your identity will never be revealed to anyone.
