Auckland Transport has launched a 12 month trial of “AT Local”, an on-demand ridesharing service where customers can share a car, taking them to a common destination. AT Local uses electric cars, so leave your vehicle at home or avoid getting wet walking to the ferry on a rainy day! Download the AT Local apk and ebook trips immediately (for up to six passengers) or up to 30-days in advance. The apk tells you when your ride will arrive and notifies the driver of your destination. Trips to and from the ferry terminals will always be affordably priced, and trips to and from another parts of the Devonport peninsula cost just a bit more. All payment is via the app.* AT Local operating hours cover the whole week, from early in the morning to relatively late in the evening.
