For melody fanatics, add some colour and good visuals to the experience with Audio Lab. It offers volume, pitch and beat detection. Turn on some melody and watch the balls bounce off each another in Mosh Pit, discover alien worlds with Globe Explorer, be dazzled by the explosions in Flocking, bop to the beat with Beat goes on, Rainbow and Leafy ... or just chill to some colorful clouds. You can receive to options and controls by swiping in from the right side of the screen, or double tapping the screen. Touch the main screen to create it disappear. With 30 special visualizers there is plenty to select from. Here is a few - ✔ Mosh Pit shows bouncing, colliding spheres. The bounce is dependent on the volume and pitch of the notes played. ✔ Globe Explorer shows a solar system of little planets that is travelled. Colours of the next planet to be visited are chosen by notes played. The nodding is dependent on the beat. ✔ Image adds a private touch allowing you to view your images, initially showing black and white, colours are selected from notes being played. You can select the directory the pictures are displayed from in the options. ✔ Concho shows a nice spirally result, with each spiral representing a note played and the sideways movement following the beat. There is a selection of programs as well as the playful visualizers. Programs contain - ✔ Input, shows the original sound wave. ✔ FFT shows the resultant frequency wave. ✔ dbFS shows volume across frequency's. ✔ Notes displays recognised notes. Good for singers to present what notes they are hitting ✔ Beat detection shows BPM. This is calculated over time. It should be used by drummers to test and hit a constant BPM ... and then improve their score. Controls contain - ✔ Choose a visualizer, tag it as a favourite ✔ Cycle visualizer, programs or favourites ✔ Some visualizers have their own settings, especially see image visualizers that let you to choose the image directory to display ✔ Settings are saved automatically ✔ Media controls work with Google Play Melody ✔ Display shows the current visualizer Note that the apk uses microphone input that can detect external melody being played, but it's at its best when melody is played via the same device.
