You can of course select extra charts and materials for Avare to Download gratis at any time. Note: The FAA occasionally changes their charts such that outdated charts may incorrectly display your place in Avare, so be sure to Modernize any charts you may use in flight! ANY time you plan to Modernize a chart, first ensure that you have the recent ver of Avare and its Database. After installing Avare, please use the Assist feature to start. Brian Vogel: Have used on xcountry flights and worked flawlessly. Takes some practice putting in flight plans. Was very surprised to search that it had an intersection database. Donate it's worth it. Updates have only created it better, which isn't always the case. PC connect trouble is resolved. Plates are awsome. All sim players will really benifit from this GREAT apk. as well as true globe pilots.

George Douglas: Perfect layout. Approach plates are instantly available and you can switch back to your enroute or terminal place chart with one tap. Long-press anywhere on the map and you receive a pop-up with nearest navaids, airspace, etc. Place this apk on two tablets, with a full set of charts and plates on each, and you can safely and confidently fly anywhere in the country, IFR or VFR.

Jaye Davidoski: I usually don't rate apks, but this one deserves 5 stars. Does everything a $600 unit does. Good as a back up when navigating both IFR and VFR. I really can not search one negative thing to say about this apk. Create sure you can turn on your phone's GPS in airplane mode or it will eat your battery.

Robert Murray: Avare is the best. Particularly for a basically gratis apk. It's the only apk on my Android device devices. I have used it for a few years on my Nexus 7 (WiFi) Smartphone. It keeps getting better. I have the paid ver of Foreflite for IOS, also a good apk, but it cost and only out features Avare by a few features. Good job folks, IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER... Thank you.
