The Placer Group has been regularly updating Crime Searcher for iOS devices, and now has updated the Android device ver. It contains: 1. The crime searcher apk you know and love, including updated laws for 2016 - all the post-prop 47 items, etc... 2. Custody Credits Calculator - with options to have multiple start/end dates. Useful for checking those probation reports! 4019 time is automatically calculated at the bottom. 3. A release date calculator - with options to calculate a possible release date and options to let you to pick whether time will be done at 50%, 85%. 80% or even the 2/3 of sentence option at 66%. 4. Court Date Calculator - When is latest day to trial or prelim? Things to improve: Add a "woblette" option to see possible infractions, add Pitchess calendar calculation (16 court days). Please hold updating this apk each year!

  Joshua Shearer: Good apk. I've been looking for something like this for years. A coworker told me about it and I immediately downloaded it. The method you find for codes is efficient. My smartphone has Android device 7.1 and I noticed the apk was running in the background and it was keeping my GPS active and quickly draining my battery. I went into permissions and removed the apks permission to use my GPS. I don't know why it required GPS at all and I don't know why it was keeping it active. Otherwise an perfect apk for people who need fast access to the penal code and elements for crimes etc.

  Kevin F.: Decent, but a bit overpriced I loved the 2012 apk, and I always told myself I'd gladly pay for an updated ver. The subscription model seems like a bit much to me. It's awesome to have the post prop 47 laws covered, but I just don't see the value for 20 dollars a year when a lot of the info is readily accessible elsewhere. I do like the fresh stage categories for quickly finding sections. I'm all about fresh features, but the calculators aren't very relevant to someone in the field. A one time purchase would be easier to swallow

  Chris Huffman: 30 min trial? Supposedly a 7 day trial, but I looked up exactly one code, and now it's forcing me to buy it. I understand charging, but for $20/year I need more than one possibility to test it out. While I liked what I saw, it wasn't enough to pay based on that one experience, and I can search most of the details on Google. Too awful, because it looked like there was some interesting details.
