About the application:

With COVID Secure Paths, your smartphone privately stores a log of your place history, comparing it with publicly released COVID patient data. We are a global movement to develop gratis, open-source, privacy-by-design programs for residents, public health officials, and larger communities. The Secure Paths squad is composed of engineers, epidemiologists, data privacy evangelists, professors, and researchers, and is guided by mentors from the US Department of Health and Human Services, the Globe Health Organization, and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. The Secure Paths tool has spun out of initial privacy-first research conducted by MIT and TripleBlind, into a newly made non-profit called Path Checks, Inc (PCI), established with the initial purpose of supporting global rollout of the COVID Secure Paths apk and Secure Territories programs for contact tracers and healthcare authorities. The goal of Secure Paths is to assist enable the reemergence and re-opening of economies and communities. Through global partnerships, we are prepared to help public health officials everywhere in the effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
