About the application:

This application displays hydrologic data from the Dartmouth Flood Observatory (DFO). Visualization is divided in regions including: Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. Each region includes layers that display various water extent periods. Extreme happenings on record can be displayed by choosing the "All Happenings" or the "Nearest Happenings" layer and providing a find radius and a point on the map. Extreme happenings can also be filtered by year. A list of recommended layers allows the player to load useful weather layers to provide context. Similarly, players can load any public layer by providing a URL path to the host server containing the layer.
