About the application:

The Dilemma mini game educates and empowers players on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. The dilemma mini game invites players on a adventure to Freetown, Sierra Leone where the player can discover the large city’s School, Shop, Health Clinic, Church and Mosque. Throughout the mini game, players are met with dilemmas and learning flows, where educational quizzes, storytelling, interactive videos and mini-games will educate and engage players in learning about Sexual Rights, Puberty for boys and girls, Pregnancy, STI’s and Contraceptives. Depending on which choices you create in the dilemmas you will be faced with throughout the mini game, your decisions will affect your future in a awesome or awful method. This teaches players that decisions may have consequences and that decisions might affect a few factors in life. The mini game language is English recorded with a Swahili-accent to ensure a good learning experience for the target audience: 10-25 year old East African girls and boys. The visual design, the stories, main heroes, and guiding heroes, as well as the background melody, sound effects and the voices of the mini game, has been co-created in partnership with Save the Kids, BRAC Uganda, creative and dedicated students of Limkokwing University and talented girls and boys from chosen communities in both Uganda and Sierra Leone. The Dilemma mini game can be played individually, in a little group, in a youth club, girls/boys club or in a classroom setting. When played in groups, the Dilemma mini game works as a dialogue program - empowering players with a language to discuss SRHR amongst each another, and a secure learning place where taboo topics become fun and normalized through mini games and storytelling.
