  Steven M Seligman: Download process is a bit flaky, mag icons flash around, weird. Takes a bit to download, so does Google Play News. Haven't figured how to save to Eternal card, neither has Google Play News. But the graphics are good, Google Play News-not so much. Hyperlinks in adds work very well, even on tiny adds. Return button actually returns you to mag where you jumped off, can't figure out what Google Play News is thinking when I hit return. The graphics are good. Page navigation works well. Both landscape and portrait orientation work well, total hit and miss in Google Play News. Decent page slide present along bottom. Oh did I say the graphics are good, super zoom and pan.

  Brint Keyes: I saw earlier ratings & emailed FWW asking them to fix the apk before I'd install it. They wrote back saying it was fixed (awesome response). PROs - It now works ok on my Android device (Moto X); As a subscriber to the print magazine, I can access back problems for gratis (same for online subscribers). CONs - the UI is not at all intuitive (a fact the developers implicitly acknowledge by including a few pages' worth of FAQs and instructions); to view the mag, you must download it - and it's HUGE (data charges?)

  Ron Sikorski: Contacted Taunton customer service who knew of the trouble, fixed the problem and advised to test once more. I did reinstall and apk worked ok, download of a problem was a tiny slow. Taunton Customer service was good, replying to my question in less than a day.

  David Bump: It didn't work on the initial roll-out for a lot of people, hence the low reviews. I hope some of those people revisit their rating. I wrote to help, and heard back promptly that the problem had been resolved, and the apk has worked ok since. It isn't the best magazine reader I've used, but it's certainly not terrible, either, and much better than some I use on a regular basis. The main drawback I see is that it does not remember your put in a magazine if you close the apk. I'm also not seeing a method to read the articles in text-only mode, as described in the in-app assist. However, comparing it side-by-side to the print problem, it's a very awesome digital ver

  Damian Wheeler: It worked better by starting it a few mins after the install. Then i was able to pair it with my acc. the magazine is more readable than those in Zinio but this apk has unexpectedly quit on me a few times.

  Jerry Cruz: I really do like the apk. There are two necessary changes that I would request for the Android device ver. (1) A zipped resource file for each problem is downloaded and then extracted. However, the zip file is not thereafter deleted. This then nearly doubles the amount of storage the apk requires for each problem. I have to manually delete each time to receive place back. (2) Each problem is ~90 mb (times 2, see previous). It would REALLY assist if the application and/or its resource files should have the option to be stored on attached sdcards. Personally, I have VERY limited place on my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy TabS)... Less than 1GB at any time, but over 60 GB on my sdcard. Would add one star each for each modernize.

  George Wesolowski: Kudos to the FW developer for responding quickly. The apk works reasonably well but does crash occasionally (Samsung Galaxy 10 2014 ed smartphone). Smartphone is WiFi only and I often read the magazine when WiFi is not accessible. What I'd really like is the ability to download an problem as a single pdf that I can begin with my favorite pdf reader - just like I do now with pdf ebooks purchased from the Taunton shop ...

  Bart Steed: Crashes constantly. Never remembers the date. Really poorly developed. There is no excuse for this. It's been broken for method too long. Considering cancelling my subscription. I guess you gotta have a freaking iPhone or iPad to receive your money's worth... smh. ------ Modernize: Emailed FWW and complained about the apk performance. The lady I dealt with said that she will reach out to the developers for an modernize.

  B Z: Apk really needs work. If a download gets interrupted, it gets frozen in "unpacking" mode permanently unless the entire apk is uninstalled. Doing that means everything needs to be downloaded once more. Currently I'm unable to purchase anything through the apk because it keeps saying that I must sign into Google, even though I am. Both the FWW site and this apk are ready crap on mobile devices. FWW, receive it together guys!

  Clyde Wynter: The magazine and web website is of such a high quality I was hoping for a better experience with the apk. The apk is slow and buggy with frequent crashes on opening. The gallery of magazines should be separated into two sections. One section with purchased problems and one with accessible problems to reduce the load times and declutter the screen. The downloading of a magazine causes the thumbnails of all editions to flash on and off. This is irritating and needs to be addressed by moving the download to a background task. Cannot access magazines without internet connection - Fail! I hope this apk is improved as it will be good to have fast access to my subscriptions.

  Jon Cox: The title "Experience Ok Woodworkimg on your iPad" on Google Play could have tipped me off. This lame apk isn't ready for prime time. Something as easy as flipping pages is a pain - you have to zoom out, go to next page, and zoom back in. Taunton is missing out by not having a rudimentary Android device apk.

  Mario Theodoridis: This not so much a rating of the apk itself, but Tauntons DRM policy BS. I don't wish to read FWW on a 5 inch display or in a stinking web browser online. I just wish unencrypted e-books or PDFs. If Taunton has a trouble with this, then they're not getting my cash. Subscription cancelled. Receive some DRM tutoring from Tim O'reilly, he knows how it's done without antagonizing his customers.
