About the application:

Begin Clock is used to begin contestants in a race, for example, in orienteering, stair climbing, cross country skiing, down hill skiing, rally, and, radio-controlled vehicles. Or use it as a watch, optionally GPS synchronised. Highlights: - Interval begin. - Chasing begin (pursuit racing). - Works on phones and tablets of different sizes. - Configurable, a lot of various player settings. Primary functionality: - Gives an audible prewarning (beeps 10 sec before begin). - Beeps on the seconds before begin (Receive Ready beeps at 55-56-57-58-59 sec). - Beeps even more on the begin sec. - The actual time settings are user-controlled. Time display: - Current time. - Countdown of seconds until next begin. - Time relative to a given zero time point. Time offset: - Present call-up time (3 minute ahead, at 3 begin boxes and 1 minute begin interval). - Align time with the timing system of the race. - Postpone the race and hold the original begin times. Colours: - Light or dark colour theme. - Player selectable text and background colours for Normal time, Receive Ready time, and Begin time (can resemble a traffic light). - Starting window, shows green before/after the begin signal. Screen background: - One-coloured background. - Photo (a image, the club logo, a custom-made background picture). - Two short text messages can be overlayed. Begin list: - Interval begin: Shows the participants who will begin at the next begin signal. - Chasing begin (pursuit racing): Displays each competitor as his/her begin time is approaching, then gives a begin signal. - Import of XML file in accordance with IOF Data Standard 3.0 (can be produced by OLA, OE2010, tTiMe and others). - Import of CSV file (comma-separated values, program and template are available). GPS help: - Time synchronisation using device's built-in GNSS receiver (Global Navigation Satellite System; GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, INRSS). Another features: - False begin. Detect a false begin by connecting an external begin gate to the device. - Camera. Take a picture at the starting signal (Android device 5+). No ads. Does not gather, transmit or disclose any data.
