We all download the map or maps of the place before heading out. That method, even without cell coverage we can still pinpoint places and have a map to assist receive us back together.

  Alexandre Polozoff: Beautiful special concept that is still a work in progress. While my Pixel XL struggles to hold a connection my Nexus 6, Galaxy Tab S3 and my wife's Pixel have no problems keeping a connection. So guess it is something specific to the Pixel XL. Though the latest couple of days I've had more success reconnecting than I did initially. Will be interesting to see the improvements GTM goes through. On Android device v8.1.0 test the following under Settings->Apps & notifications->Advanced->Special apk access->Battery Optimization->All apks and set not optimized to Bluetooth, Bluetooth MIDI Service and the goTenna apk. I think this may assist with the disconnects. Since the v5.0.x release disconnects have been noticeably fewer. The battery reading does only seem to modernize if the gotenna mesh is rebooted or unless it has changed dramatically.

  A Google user: I'm outdoors on the weekends and so far it's the best method to communicate with people. I can't wait to present it off to others when im out and about. I have fun the apk, very simple to pair a device, download a cached map and understand the features. Even if you have a question it's simple to keep an email responce from the help squad.

  chaos1267: The apk works really well for me. No random disconnects or obstructive advertisements for the pro features. I think the pro features are just barely fair at the 10 dollars a year cost. There isnt much added benefit but i do understand there is cost associated with keeping the maps up to date. The only problem i have with the apk is that it does not modernize the battery status nearly as often as it could. It tends to go 20% or more before updating unless i reset the gotenna. Ive had it go from 83% to dead before. Hopefully this gets fixed in a future modernize or have a manual method to ping the device to receive the battery percentage

  Peter Kenyon: the best thing I ever bought when it comes to communication I removed my SIM card to create it more easier and it is more fun if everybody in England Scotland Wales Ireland all receive one of these go tenna it would be good I suggest everyone to receive one in these places and I mean everyone one save your smartphone calls and text messages without having to pay top up bundles cost too much receive a pay-as-you-go phone download the go tenna apk and you will never have to pay for other smartphone call

  A Google user: After researching these for a while and reading reviews decided to give them a test. Basic use was for hikeing in Wasatch Mountain range and having communication off grid. These tiny antennas didn't disappoint, as long as you actually read and follow the instructions ( hold antenna high on loadout and not touching body) then have a awesome 3-4 mile reach ( longer around bodies of water) that with the ability to ping someone's place makes them excellent to attach to kids @ happenings to hold an eye on them.

  Jamie Sayers: The only fault I can search with this apk is the amount of data that gets moved onto my SD card. All of the maps (that I've downloaded), some 600+MB are currently sat on my smartphone memory, and I'd like to be able to move at least half of it to the SD card. Would this be possible to implement? As I have a lot of large apks this would be greatly appreciated.
