About the application:

"Laika - The Trail of the Golden Bone" is a multi-award winning mini game about a mysterious case in the Laika dog park. As dog detective Arthur, the user must search out what happened to the Golden Bone. Ask the various dogs questions, taking into acc their personality, feelings, relationships, and motivation. By using the right approach, the user will gain the dogs' believe and keep valuable clues to solve the case. The mini game is divided into four consecutive episodes, each focusing on one of the four heroes and their problems. Laika is an educational detective mini game that helps young people to better understand the feelings, wishes, and needs of others. The mini game develops social and empathetic skills in an entertaining way. We have also designed the mini game to be used in the classroom. We have prepared accompanying materials that describe the process and learning objectives in detail. It also contains colourful printouts that can be used to create the lesson more interactive. The materials can be found on the game's website. Laika has been developed as part of the ProsocialLearn project to promote prosocial and empathetic skills, funded by the EU (H2020). The mini game is suggested for ages 7 and up. For younger kids, someone can play along and read aloud.
