About the application:

The Caguana Ceremonial Center in Utuado, Puerto Rico, is undoubtedly one of the most necessary pre-Columbian archaeological websites in the Caribbean. Students, tourists, and all who have fun learning about the prehistoric cultures of the region can now have access to the park on their mobile device by downloading the Caguana Digital Museum. On the apk, both the cultural and archaeological history of the website are described in detail. The Digital Museum provides the player access to a virtual map that can be used as a tutorial for an in-person or virtual tour of the website. A short video that presents the history and significance of the website is also accessible. Finally, the apk contains three dimensional photos of most of the petroglyphs show at the website, allowing the player to closely examine the carved stone slabs. The Caguana Digital Museum is completely gratis of cost and its content is in English and Spanish. The project represents the culmination of a graduate thesis presented as a requirement for a Master’s in Archaeology degree.
