The Town of Columbus has released a gratis Mobile Application allowing place residents enhanced access to town and community resources. The Apk puts Town Services at the fingertips of residents and visitors, bringing to life a lot of of Andrew J. Ginther mayoral initiatives to improve the quality of life of the Columbus residents. The Apk uses a lot of integrated technologies, such as GPS for place services, RSS for Town News Feeds, and has an entire Social Media Center providing access to Twitter, Fb, and YouTube info. The Apk encompasses four mayoral initiatives to assist town residents: My Neighborhood, Receive Active, Receive Green, and 311. The My Neighborhood campaign allows residents to easily choose and map government buildings, local entertainment and retail venues, as well as another useful Columbus websites. Players can access COTA bus schedules, view Capital Project info, learn about Neighborhood Pride places and happenings, view Health Inspections of place restaurants, markets, pools, spas, and tattoo parlors as well as another different info. The Receive Active initiative enables residents to access info about parks, community centers, golf courses, pools, sports facilities, schedules and standings, learn if your mini game is rained out, view an happenings calendar, park and trail tutorials, and read advices from prominent community members on healthy eating and exercise. The Receive Green initiative encourages sustainable behavior with environmental facts and pointers in addition to info on what restaurants, business and non-profit organizations are GreenSpot members.
