SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly), University at Albany’s School of Business, and Syracuse University will host the seventh annual Fresh York Business Plan Tournament (NYBPC) on Friday, April 28, 2017 in Albany, NY. The Fresh York Business Plan Tournament (NYBPC) is a venture creation and innovation tournament that was established in 2010 to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship throughout Fresh York’s colleges and universities. The lead organizing institutions have grown the NYBPC from a little, regional tournament into a statewide tournament with some of the biggest awards and prizes of any student business tournament in the globe. The NYBPC is the only leading collegiate business tournament that is a regionally coordinated, collaborative statewide tool representing over 75 colleges and universities, which sets it apart from all another competitions in the nation. Since 2010, over 2,100 student squads from almost 75 of Fresh York’s colleges and universities have pitched their ideas and ventures at the NYBPC. The winners are chosen each year by esteemed judges, including venture capitalists, angel investors, investment bankers, another sophisticated public and personal investors, and seasoned entrepreneurs. At the end of the 2015 tournament, more than $2,300,000 in money and in-kind prizes have been awarded to student entrepreneurs in Fresh York.
