About the application:

Explore how you are connected to all life with which we share our planet, and be inspired by methods you can assist protect life on Earth. The project celebrates Earth’s rich diversity of animals, plants and microbes represented by the Tree of Life, the immense network of relationships that links all living things. The ONE TREE, ONE PLANET apk connects the player with the artwork and allows everyone to interact with the Tree of Life. In addition, the apk enables viewers to meet challenges to improve our impact on the environment. After being connected to our cousins in this Tree of Life projection, viewers will be invited to create changes in their everyday life; to paraphrase Gandhi, to be truly the change we wish to see in the world. Different challenges are presented: a week without meat, reconnection to nature, less waste, and a multitude of private challenges to assist create all of us realize that there are easy things we can do each day to create a difference. Each challenge will be rewarded with points and participants will be invited to challenge their mates and community to become part of the movement. The application also contains an interactive Tree of Life based on OneZoom, allowing players to understand the connections between the more than 2 million species currently represented on the Tree of Life. The immersive, intuitive interface combines fractal geometry and photos of organisms as the player zooms through the branches that present how organisms are connected through their shared evolutionary history. During live projections the application will also give you the occasion to interact with the artwork and have your portrait projected on buildings and monuments, truly becoming part of the art. The ONE TREE, ONE PLANET application is structured in three main parts. 1. Everyone is invited to connect with other species; various scenarios connected to the projections are accessible. Each offers a fresh perspective on biodiversity, questioning the misconception that humans are the peak of the evolutionary pyramid. 2. Participants are invited to take challenges, each group of species is connected with a challenge helping viewers to reduce environmental impact. Participants will keep tip, info and a follow up on the challenge with which they are engaged. 3. Players are able to embark on the gratis exploration of the Tree of Life in the fractal representation provided.
