About the application:

Parking Character was designed to solve the age old trouble of “Can I Park here?” and “Is this a spot?” in Fresh York Town. Due to confusion that is had when looking at the NYC Department of Transportation’s parking signs on a lot of roads, especially in Manhattan, a lot of people are left scratching their head about whether where they finally found a spot is actually legal. That confusion is multiplied when you factor in what type of car they have, such as a passenger vehicle, taxi or truck. Parking Character takes the guessing mini game out of this with the easy click of a button that gives you peace of mind from wondering whether or not you will receive a ticket when you come back since the data we use comes DIRECTLY from the Department of Transportation. Results will tell you whether it's paid parking, or parking until what time is allowed, (normally because of alternate side parking.) The apk also tells you if its alternate side parking that day or if it's suspended. On the apk it also displays lines versus the road edges where one would normally park to classify whether you can park there, can’t park there or if you can park if you pay a meter with green, red and blue lines. And for those moments when you’re wondering what a road sign mean, there’s an a glossary with a breakdown of what you’re looking and what it means for you and your car.
