QuickCapture is a versatile application designed to scan and generate QR codes, perform OCR (Optical Hero Recognition), and save the generated QR codes to your image gallery. To fully help these core functionalities, QuickCapture requires access to certain permissions on your device. 1. Camera Permission Purpose: The camera permission is essential for allowing QuickCapture to access your device's camera. This access enables the apk to scan QR codes directly using the camera in real-time. Additionally, the camera is used for capturing photos that can be processed with OCR to extract text from them. Functionality Enabled by This Permission: Scanning QR codes directly from the camera. Capturing photos for OCR processing. How We Use This Permission: Real-Time Scanning: The camera is used to focus and capture QR codes, enabling quick and accurate scanning within the app. OCR Processing: When you wish to extract text from a physical document or photo, the camera captures the photo, which is then processed by the apk to retrieve the text. 2. Photo/Media/Files Permission Purpose: The photo/media/files permission allows QuickCapture to access your device’s storage. This permission is needed to perform the following actions: Save generated QR codes to your image gallery. Access photos stored in your gallery for QR code scanning and OCR processing. Functionality Enabled by This Permission: Saving generated QR codes directly to your image gallery for simple access. Selecting existing photos from your gallery to scan QR codes or extract text using OCR. How We Use This Permission: Saving QR Codes: After generating a QR code within the apk, you can save it as an photo to your device's gallery. This allows you to easily use the QR code whenever needed. Gallery Access: You can select photos from your device's gallery to scan for QR codes or perform OCR on text within those images. 3. Data Privacy and Security QuickCapture does not collect or shop any private data from your device. The permissions requested are solely for enabling the core functionalities of the apk.
