About the application:

■ This apk is based on the Rancho Observational Gait Analysis System, a well-known way for teaching physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, students, and another health care specialists a systematic approach to first analyzing normal gait and pathologic gait. ■ The RanchoGait apk is the first of a series of modules to provide instruction on how to evaluate both normal and pathologic gait with the final apk in the series aimed at prescription of lower extremity orthoses which was developed at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center for individuals with neurologic impairments. ■ The first module in the series for RanchoGait apk is intended to be a useful program for students and clinicians to learn and/or review the fundamental elements of Normal Gait and the Problem-Solving Approach in an interactive manner. The second apk is intended to be a useful program for students and clinicians to learn and/or review the critical elements of Pathologic Gait. The latest two modules integrated the Rancho R.O.A.D.M.A.P. and MOPS brace adjustment module to the existing Rancho Gait Apk. Player can access the Modules through In-app purchase. ■ The RanchoGait apk allows the player to be an active participant in learning the essential elements of Normal and Pathologic Gait and engages critical thinking in the learning process. ■ The RanchoGait apk can be used as a stand-alone learning aid or in conjunction with an in-person course as a supplement to principles presented in a lecture-based format. It can also be used in conjunction with the process of orthotic prescription. ■ The RanchoGait apk includes the highlights and essential elements of Normal Gait, including Phases, Functional Tasks, Task Accomplishments, and Critical Happenings. ■ Player Manual - To use the RanchoGait apk, the player simply taps on module menu stuff and the element of interest, including Gait Cycle, Phases, Functional Tasks, Critical Happenings, etc. An interactive user allows the player to view a video clip that describes the highlights and essential elements of the gait cycle and another sub-categories. The player can interact with the accessible choices for playing the phases and sub-categories of Normal Gait. In the R.O.A.D.M.A.P. module, the player interact with the accessible choices for identifying the most appropriate kind and setting of lower extremity brace. In the Brace module, the player can interact with the accessible choices for choosing the proper steps for setting the highly adjustable lower extremity orthosis called MOPS Brace.
