About the application:

The National Association of Radio Distress-Signalling and Infocommunications (RSOE) operates Emergency and Disaster Info Service (EDIS) within the frame of his own web website which has to objective to monitor and document all the happenings on the Earth which may cause disaster or emergency. The main objective is to manage info about happenings endangering the security of our own country. Our service is using the speed and the data spectrum of the internet to gather info. We are monitoring and processing a few foreign organisation’s data to receive fast and certified info. These data will be continuously published on our Internet web site. The EDIS client developed by RSOE works closely with the online EDIS site. From now on, fresh happenings appear not only on the EDIS site but also in the RSOE EDIS Notifier phone application. Using PUSH technology, the application gives you true time info about the happenings of the globe. All you need is an Android device smartphone and an active internet connection. There are five notification levels (5 – emergency, 4 – alert, 3 – warning, 2 – notification, 1 – info), each of which you can assign a various notification sound for. You can also set the so called quiet hours during which you only keep level 5 messages. If you prefer not to have any notification sounds, you can turn on LED blinking or vibrate mode in the settings menu. This is the first RSOE EDIS Android device application.
