Josef H.: The interface isn't very well thought out. You can go up when setting the timer but you can't go down.. If you wish to set the timer to let's say 8 mins and you mistakenly press the min button 9 times, you have to "cancel" the setting and do it over once more. Edit: That would definitely create your apk much user-friendlier, thanks for your answer.

Nick: Unfortunately, the apk is either poorly designed or poorly executed. While counting up, the apk will only speak your selected iteration once. So, if I select 5 mins, it'll tell me once 5 mins have passed but not at 10, 15, etc. Instead, there's a long list of checkboxes that are inefficient to use. Also, the apk crashes after the first spoken time if the screen is turned off & sometimes crashes if you're also playing melody.

Jon Lilley: So nearly an perfect apk... I'd been longing for a smartphone apk ver of my count-down gadget which speaks the remaining time with increasing frequency as time-up gets closer, and at latest found this. Unfortunately the announcements dry up when the smartphone screen goes to sleep - though the option to hold going when the screen's manually locked works ok. The various voices are fun but would be even better if the last-selected voice came up by default.
