From the charity behind the award-winning Teach Your Creature to Read comes a brand fresh mini game that gets children reading for fun! Take your creature to discover a magical village full of fascinating facts and spellbinding stories. The recent educational mini game from Teach Your Creature, ‘Reading for Fun’ is designed with experts from Roehampton University to receive children reading more, boost their confidence and inspire a lifelong love of reading. Make your own creature with hundreds of stuff, create mates with colorful heroes and collect over 70 brilliant gratis books (from Usborne, Okido, Otter-Barry and more) to add to your monster’s bookshelf. There are hours and hours of fun, whilst you read along the way. Every interaction involves reading, from following signposts and checking the village noticeboard to reading aloud with librarian Goldspear. The ebooks you explore will assist you bake delicious cakes, create the villagers laugh and even search treasure! It’s up to you to select what to discover and when. But hurry, the villagers need your assist. Your creature must use all its wisdom, skills and bravery to stop the book-eating goblin causing chaos in the village and eating all the books! The mini game encourages kids of all ages to read for pleasure, helping them build empathy by putting themselves in various heroes’ shoes. The mini game is excellent to play at home and school, alongside Teach Your Creature to Read 1,2,3 or on its own.
