Stemming from time spent working on a lighthouse in Norway and adapted from an award-winning collection of poetry, The Lighthouse Journal is a collaboration between Laurence O’Dwyer (poet and trail-runner) and Malte Olsson (mini game developer and musician). Take on a adventure by train from the Netherlands through the spine of Sweden to a very little island off the coast of Norway. The Lighthouse Journal is an almanac of photographs, maps and poems, that sketch the life of three lighthouse keepers at the end of the globe. Inspired by somewhat real happenings, The Lighthouse Journal, shares the coffee and dreams of an Arctic summer when the light never dies and our lighthouse keepers are busy at work and at play as they labour to restore the old light in the turret that was built at the beginning of other century. A journal, a diary, a scrapbook – have fun a Scandinavian folk-tale of deserted islands, dry-stone-walls, Arctic air, crumbly wi-fi and some questionable restoration techniques.
