About the application:

Warkeep is a healthy mix of tile-matching puzzle elements to build a defensible hold, and a side scrolling turret defense mini game to see it destroyed (we're kidding, hopefully you can conquer the opponents and its not destroyed). You use tile-matching in order to build up the hold by combining random block pieces, rooms, and turrets to enclose the Hold Core (shown as doors ingame). From there, waves of opponents with one focus in mind (a pile of rubble) stream from both sides of the screen. Rooms will spawn friendly troops which will passively engage these opponents, while the turrets will rain terror down on the enemy.Warkeep can be played multiple methods. At its core is the turret defense elements where your focus is to hold the opponents away from damaging the hold core (the lose condition). As opponents are killed, you will gain gold which can be spent to make batter the overall hold (provides better defenses), the rooms (better defenses and unit), and the turrets (better unit). You also have your trusty character which can be sent out to war for you with controls reminiscent of an RTS mini game, and a handful of activity abilities if you wish to receive your hands dirty.
