USB Media Browser allows you to view your images and video from a USB drive via an OTG cable, without root! Overcome the users limited storage by adding your own. Imagine being able to view all your pictures and videos from a card reader, flash or hard drive connected to it. With an inexpensive OTG cable and the USB Media apk, you now can. Features: 1. Voice find for videos (by name) and images (by date or month/year) 2. Automatic thumbnail generation for images and videos 3. Simple to use intuitive interface. Hardware Requirements: 1. A straight OTG cable (see screenshots for examples) 2. A USB flash drive, flash card reader or hard drive. 3. A mini game controller is NOT needed. I'm currently investigating why that is showing on the Play Store. Notes: Android TV Global Find Requirements: Large devices must be indexed by app App much have USB device permission -Check "Use by default for this USB device" from apk when prompted Photos: JPEG, PNG and most RAW formats are supported Video: Most videos can be played with third party tool such as MX Player. Force thumbnail regeneration: 1. Go to Android device TV Settings 2. Go to Apps 3. Go to USB Media Browser 4. Choose Clear Cache Voice Search: I've inspected with my video and image library and it's working quite nicely. As languages and file name schemes do vary, it may not work as well with your collection. Nathan Jolly: Outstanding. Successfully mounted my portable 500GB USB 3.0 Western Digital (bus-powered) hard drive and played videos from it. Took a min or so to index all the files, and then presented all the folders that contained video at the same level. Thought I'd have preferred to browse the folders as they appear on the drive, but this is actually faster. If I had deep nested "adult" video folders, I would be worried, but I don't, so it's all awesome. I did receive a crash trying to play one video, but I think it was just a fluke. Not taking a star off for what's probably Google's or Asus's fault.

Dan Herbert: Very thoughtfully designed apk for the Nexus User. It works with every USB drive I've connected (both FAT32 and ExFAT). It works good when paired with MX User. The interface can be a tiny busy, with a few methods to browse the same content, but it's still very simple to use. The apk is basically just "plug & play". When I first installed it, my device would crash when trying to play high-bitrate videos, but that trouble has either gone away on its own, or has been fixed.

Andrew Lewis: This apk works reliably on the Nexus User to help NTFS files. The prompt when connecting a drive can be a tiny tricky if you have more than one drive connected. Definitely worth the purchase!
